Twenty equilateral triangles joined at the edges makes the ICOSAHEDRON. Twelve points arranged on the surface of a sphere in a symmetrical manner that creates six axes that all perfectly intersect at the center of this sphere. The inner edges of an IKO make an icosahedron.
Tectonic Toys is an incredibly dynamic form-modeling system utilizing but one simple yet ingenious module: the Tectonic Hinge™.

Interconnecting these identical hinges in any one of 324 unique ways provides for a tangible, real-world interaction with the 3 dimensional universe in which we actually exist. From the origin of the five primary classical forms which to the ancient Greeks represented: FIRE, EARTH, AIR, WATER, and UNIVERSE, one can endlessly combine additional sets to grow, discover, and invent an elegant geometry unhindered by the flat, limited, 2 dimensional view that has become today’s default. In one’s own hands, one can hold the keys to understanding our place in the physical world. And have endless fun doing it!
